Í dag fórum við og sóttum um amerískt vegabréf fyrir Arndísi Dúnu svo hún geti nú ferðast með okkur heim til Íslands.
Það var nokkuð sársaukalaust að sækja um vegabréfið, við mættum, ótrúlegt en satt, með allt sem þurfti til að fá vegabréf (2 myndir, ameríska kennitölu Arndísar, fæðingarvottorð og skilríki fyrir foreldrana). Venjulega þarf maður að koma að minnsta kosti tvisvar á svona skrifstofur því það gleymist að láta mann vita af einhverju.
Við fáum vegabréfið síðan eftir 5-6 vikur, sem er ágætt þar sem við förum ekki heim fyrr en eftir um það bil 8 vikur.
Við erum líka að standa í því að skrá Arndísi sem íslenskan ríkisborgara og til þess þurftum við að faxa fæðingarvottorðið til þjóðskrár.
Það sem einnig þurfti að senda, sem mér finnst frekar skrítið, er staðfestingu frá skólanum hans Gunna og hvenær hann hóf nám þar.
Af hverju skildi það vera? Fengi hún kannski ekki að vera íslenskur ríkisborgari ef við bara byggjum hér?
